She Gave Thanks

One day a very poor woman prayed for food. The devil saw her and ordered his slave to deliver some food to the poor woman and tell her it comes from the devil.

The slave gave the food to the woman.
The poor woman gave thanks and ate the food.

The slave asked: Do you know where that food came from and who gave it to you?

The poor woman said: I don't care where it came from, because I believe when God works in His way, even the devil obeys Him.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
- Romans 12:12

Prayer

Lord,
You are our Father.
We are the clay,
You are the potter.
We are all the work
Of your hands.

Father,
Into your hands, we
Surrender our spirits,
Heal our hearts,
Mold our minds,
Shape our souls.
Amen.

Prayer for Commitment

Lord,
I have one life to live;
I have only one heart to give.
Help me choose with the greatest care
What to do with a gift so rare!

  • To believe in results from Yahweh more than Yahoo
  • To look for something that cannot show up in Bing
  • To remember the Way to heaven is not uploaded on YouTube
  • To help my mom cook rather than poke on Facebook
  • To make my life better besides sharing it on Twitter
  • To listen to You God and not just iPod
  • To spend time in prayer before I post to this blog!

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

St. Francis of Assisi is the Patron Saint of the Environment.
You and your surrounding environment will change after reading his prayer.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;

where there is hatred, let me sow love
where there is injury, pardon
where there is discord, harmony
where there is error, truth
where there is doubt, faith
where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light
where there is sadness, joy

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
