World Environment Day

To hear the bumble bee say to me "Human, humble be!"
But I am only human, and I am humble.

To hear the potted plant say to me "Person, pride does not pay!" 

But I am one person, and I am not proud. 

To hear the blind bat say to me "Boy, you blinded too?"
But I am no longer a small boy, and I am a man not blind.

I am a humble insightful human person. 

The bee, plant, and bat took time to remind me 

To pause, reflect, and act on my environment today.
